Cutters are used to remove the cap of the cigars before smoking it. There three types of cuts that are commonly used by cigars smokers; straight cut, the wedge or the V cut and the hole punch. The choice of the cut depends on the ring size and the shape of the cigar, and also the personal preference of the smoker. The straight cut is the most common and is used for cigars with smaller ring size. 

They are easier to use than others and cut at the exactly the point needed. Most of them are single blades while others are double blades which are the most accurate. The cutter scissors fall under this category. The straight cutters are the least expensive but easily used and carried in ones pocket.

As earlier stated the cigar cap is left uncut in the manufacturing to aid in preserving the richness of the cigars; complements the humidors. The other cutter is the wedge or the V shaped cut. Its blade cuts the cigar’s cap in a wedge shape without cutting it completely. The wedge shape and the lack of cutting it off completely enhance your safety and it hard to injury yourself. 

The last of the cutters cigar accessories is the punch hole cutters which is use to put a hole on the cap of the cigar than cutting it in any shape. The smoke should punch a hole that is big enough so that the smoke draw is not impeded making the tar to form around the hole. If this happens the taste of the cigar is affected thus it is not enjoyable.
